The Power of Editing (Prose)
Online workshop - Saturday 14th November 2026
Available spots
Course Description
Editing may not be the sexiest part of the writing process - but it is one of the most important. Join award-winning author and editor Stefan Mohamed (The House on Utopia Way, Falling Leaves, The Bitter Sixteen Trilogy) for an in-depth workshop exploring the editing process, from solidifying your intentions through close reading, to tightening plot and character arcs, to ensuring that your chosen themes are being effectively communicated. Full of tips and strategies honed from decades of novel writing, this class will show just how many tools you have at your disposal when editing - and just how satisfying it can be when you've learned to use them effectively. The session will take place over Zoom on Saturday the 14th of November, 11am - 1:30pm (UK time). Zoom links will be sent to participants a week before the workshop. ~ Stefan Mohamed is an award-winning author, poet, editor and creative writing tutor. He is the author of five novels, including 2025's The House on Utopia Way, and five books of poetry, including The Revelation Tapes, which came out in 2026 with Broken Sleep Books. He lives in Bristol with his family and cat. He is also a DJ.
