I have a First Class Degree in Creative Writing and over a decade of professional experience as a writer, copy editor and public speaker. I am also a creative writing tutor and have taught workshops and multi-week courses for poets and prose writers.

I have appeared as a guest reader for Arvon, and spoken at the Young Adult Literature Convention (YALC), Winchester Writers' Festival, Troubador Self-Publishing Conference and The Literary Consultancy's Being A Writer Festival. I have also been a guest speaker at universities, sixth form colleges and private literary events.

One-on-One Mentoring

Whether you need help cracking a big project, regular feedback on your work or just somebody to chat to about your writing goals, I can help. I offer remote mentoring for writers of prose and poetry - usually via Zoom, but I'm happy to discuss alternative options depending on your requirements - on either a one-off or annual basis. This consists of single or monthly one-hour sessions, with email support in between.

A single session is £35, while a year's mentoring is £350 (effectively giving you two months for free!).

Talks, Readings and Workshops

Maybe you're putting together a one-off literary event, maybe you run a festival, or maybe you just want something fun and creative to do with a group of friends in your converted barn of a weekend (if that sounds weirdly specific it's because it really happens). I've delivered workshops, talks and readings at numerous venues and am happy to tailor something specific to your needs. Editorial Support

I have years of editorial experience and can provide a detailed, supportive written assessment of your novel, short story, poetry collection or even individual poems. Through my own writing experience, and my work with organisations like The Literary Consultancy, I can help break down a project of any size and help you emphasise its strengths while identifying and addressing potential issues.
